A long overdue reunion Chapter 1

Something I've had in the works for a while now.
SUUUUURPRISE!!!! also, keep in mind that the spanish in this was translated via google translate.
So don't sue me if it's not perfect. XD
Also, for those wondering...
because I know all you irritating fans prefer him over Mermando.
*GRUMBLE GRUMBLE* Bill will return in this fic, but he won't be the main villain in this fic,
or any other story related to this I write in future.
and it won't be in the way you're expecting he returns...
Dipper and Mabel most likely will not be appearing in this chapter, but you can definitely expect them in upcoming chapters.
CAUSE WE GOTTA SOME GET MERMABEL IN THE HOOOOOOOOUSE.
This chapter is sort of like a prequel chapter? the actual story will pretty much begin next chapter.
I had originally planned on this chapter of this story, being it's own story. but that became increasingly unnecessary,
as I realized it would only be a one shot anyway. LoL
Anyway..
let's begin.

It has been 3 years, since the start of the Pines Twins first summer in Gravity Falls Oregon.
During their stay in the town, they fought monsters on an almost daily basis. gnomes disguised as humans
easily mistaken for zombies, old men disguised as sea monsters, shape shifters disguised as their closest friends.
Summer has almost begun again for the Pines family, and Dipper and Mabel will spend another whole season with their friends in Gravity Falls.
but that time is not yet, it's 3 days before the beginning of summer now. and we begin our story...in the Gulf of Mexico.
Stanley and his brother have been traveling the world looking for beaches and babes and treasure ever since Weirdmageddon III.
we see Grunkle Stan, and his brother Ford, Stanley chugs down a Pitt cola, gazing into the Gulf from atop a wooden pathway. Ford begins yammering on.
"Stanley! did you know it's over 12,000 feet deep, and 300 miles long? did you know evidence suggests the gulf was formed over 300 million years go?"
Stanley groaned at Ford's constant words. "Maybe they have ear plugs in the gift shop." he then walked off, they came up to a gift shop, and an arrayment of Mini license plates.
"Ooh! Mini license plates! Aha! Stanford, Stanford, Stanfod, Stanford, Stanford.... What?! You have 5 Stanfords and no Stanley?!" Ford then laughs. "Ahaha, 1,001 Gulf of Mexico jokes.
That's about 1,000 more than I imagined there were..." Stanley groans. "Hey nerd in the box, you gonna get me a soda or what?" Ford sighed. "Didn't you just have a soda before we came here?
Don't tell me you drank it already." Stanley laughed. "I didn't...I dropped it." Ford sighs again. "You dropped it? could you not have picked it up?-..
nevermind, I'll just get you the drink. if you lose another so help me..." and so Ford got Stanley the drink. they go back out, looking into the gulf. as Stanley drops his drink into it.
"Whoops.." Ford sighed. "Stanley..do you even realize what you just did?" suddenly, a man walked up. "¡Oye! ¿qué te parece que está haciendo tirar basura en una propiedad federal?"
Stanley replied. "Uh Ford, mind telling me what this guy is saying?" Ford sighed. "I'll talk to him... Mi amigo no se dio cuenta de lo que hacía , se lo aseguro , no volverá a suceder."
The man then begins to get angry. "Dilo a la escoria de tenis." Ford sighs. "Stanley, we're gonna have to go to court, and pay a fine." the man then laughs. "
Espera un minuto, te reconozco dos, estás en lista de los más buscados del país!" Ford just stares into space. and turns to Stanley. "Stanley...he says you're on the country's most wanted list.
tell me what you did, and tell me you didn't do it under my name." Stanley laughs. "It's not like he can arrest us...." Ford facepalms. "Stan! he's a federal officer!" Stanley smacks his lips.
"Alright then, Ford could you hand me your gun?" Ford sighed. "What? Why? You're not going to threaten to shoot them are you?" Stanley sighed. "Fine, since you've gotta make everything so difficult, yes I promise not to threaten to shoot them."
Ford replied. "Alright Stan, fine, take my gun." he hands it to him. Stanley then grabs onto Ford's head pushing him down, and puts the gun to his head. "Alright, you guys are gonna let me go, or I'll shoot my brother in the head."
Ford screamed. "Stanley are you kidding me?! a fake hostage situation will never work!" Stanley laughed. "Haha, what? this totally isn't fake, this is me. actually going to shoot my brother in the face.. I mean head! headface!"
The police man replied. "¡Por favor, señor! no hacen daño a tu hermano ! podemos tratar de resolver esto?" Stanley laughed. "Hahaha, I bet we got them on the ropes..." Ford sighed. "Stanley, he just said they're not falling for it..."
Stanley sighed. "Alright..well there's only one more thing we can do. you can swim right?" Ford replied. "Yes, why?" Stanley then screamed. "Hold your breath!" as he jumped into the gulf below them. Ford screamed. "Stan you idiot!!!"
as they land into the gulf, they land on the back of a very very large Manatee. colored an abnormal red. Ford screamed. "Stanley! did you even think that through at all?" Stanley sighed. "Yes, the alternative was prison,
and I've been there, and I don't wanna go back again." suddenly, bullets begin shooting down at them. the Manatee whales in pain. and it begins to go underwater.  Ford screaming. "No!-" but it was too late,
the manatee went under, and the two of them fell off, falling into the Gulf, of Mexico.  



Ford's POV
I woke up on a bed, all cozy and white, a green pillow behind me, two blue with a starfish each to my side.
as I got up, I saw a seashell themed lamp, and another pillow on the ground. my brother, Stanley, was laying next to me, once I saw him I jumped. and then sighed.
"Thank goodness he's ok..." I then took notice things around me felt... weird. and then took notice I could float. how am I floating in air?... then it hit me. I'm not.
I'm underwater!!!...but how am I breathing?... how am I moving this fast?..a human's speed should be greatly slowed underwater right?.. suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
and in came a young Hispanic boy, with long brown hair. a gap in his teeth, a bare chest with a seashell necklace. and most notably of course...a lower half that was that of a sea creature.
swimming in front of me was a real life Merman. I had heard of Merpeople, found bones of them, unfortunately they are one of the few creatures that don't make their home in Gravity Falls.
I started to squeal, finally, after 3 years, I found something I've never seen in this universe!!!...I couldn't believe it! and just then, he spoke to me, with an accent fitting of his appearance.
"Grunkle Stan...right?" I got up off the bed, replying. "No, I'm uuuhhh.. Stanford Pines. that sleeping guy over there is probably who you think I am right? h-how do you know him anyway?" he laughs. "His niece
told me quite a lot about him. what is he doing here?..is he looking for me?" I reply. "No...we're...traveling..honestly I don't even know who you are. how do you know Mabel?" the boy blushed. and replied. "We uumm..
well she helped me escape a pool in your town of 'Gravity Falls.'.. she uumm...never talked about me?..my name... is Mermando.." I replied. "No I'd remember if she mentioned a Merman trust me, I've never seen one of your kind before..
and trust me, I've seen a lot of weird things in my day." 'Mermando' looked down at the ground, very disappointed I can tell from his eyes. "I see..." suddenly, Stan woke up beside me. "Guh buh?..." he looks up at Mermando, and states.
"Oh hey, aren't you that Merman guy?.. the one Mabel was always talking about with the bottles?" suddenly, Mermando squealed. "Oh yes that is me!..." but then suddenly he went back to silence. "Oh uumm....s-sorry....I just got...
carried away...but then I went back to reality...anyway..I should tell you all. this is my Kingdom, the Kingdom of Mermantis. I live here, this is my room." I started to speak. "So you brought us here to save us?
Is that what Merpeople do to people who fall down here?" Mermando then laughed. "Ahahahaha, yes...that's...that's what we all do...yup...listen, I need to help get you out of here. you need to get Grunkle Stan back to Mabel,
I know she cares for him deeply, so-" Stan interrupted. "Yeah yeah, we'll leave in a bit, but hey, you got any Mr. Pitt down here? I could really use-" Mermando then screamed. "Please senior! it is very important that I get you out of here as quickly as possible!
do you understand?" Stan derped his eyes. "No, not at all." Ford sighed. "Stan, it doesn't matter why, Mermando lives here, he knows this place like the back of his hand! I say we trust his judgement." Stan groaned. "Yeah, just like you trusted that triangle jerk Bill. this isn't-"
Mermando then interrupted. "Excuse me, did you say triangle?.... you wouldn't happen to know where the statue came from do you?" Stan laughed. "Hahaha, statue?..what statue?" Mermando sighed. "....I'll get some robes and take you outside. you have to cover your legs, it's very important...
humans aren't allowed down in our kingdom." I then pondered. "If humans aren't allowed here...why let them breath here?" Mermando sighed. "...It doesn't matter, please senior, just follow me."


and so Mermando left, and come back with long green cloaks, with a strange symbol that resembles something of Egyptian culture. and he takes it over to a secret room, in which he enters a code.
'6-6-6.' he enters. making me feel slightly uneasy... personally I don't know where our universe came from, but I've heard tales...tales of the being second in power only to the almighty God,
a being known by many names, Satan, Lucifer, but what most people know him by?...The Devil. and this number represents him. some even say it summons him. but my question is...why would the password be...
this?!.. Mermando opened the door, interrupting my thoughts, and let us into a room with candles and a statue. a statue I've seen before...the statuous remains of Bill Cipher. I replied a bit confused to him. "Where did you get this?" Mermando explains.
"This showed up in this room of the castle 9 months ago, my parents told me to keep any and all non-royals out, but you two know Mabel...so...I trust you with this secret." I sigh. "This is the body of a villain named Bill Cipher, after-"
Stan interrupts. "After I defeated him...not to brag or anything." Ford sighs. "Yes Stan, after you defeated him...he became this statue...but if Stan's memory survived...there's a possibility he did too... I thought this statue was still in the Gravity Falls forest,
how could it have possibly gotten here?" I asked myself. suddenly, Stan notices the candles. "Hey, these candles... they look like those symbols...y'know like when we...-" I interrupt. "The Cipher wheel yes...this whole spot is some kind of...tribute to him......
I don't know what it means-" suddenly, a young Merman boy enters the room. screaming. "AAAHHH!!! Mommy!! Daddy!!! two strange men have kidnapped Mermando!" Stan screams. "Agh! Alright, that's it!" he then throws off his cloak. Mermando screams. "No don't!!..Finn!
This isn't what it looks like!" Stanley runs over to him. "Kid don't you dare-" The child Mermando identified as 'Finn' squeals. "Oh nevermind! he brought us lunch!" Stanley stops in his tracks. "I'm sorry...lunch?" Mermando laughs. "Ahahahahahahahaha, yes...lunch...
lunch... and I was just about to take them...to the ktichen to um...cook them..." Finn replies. "Want any help?" and Mermando screamed. "No! I don't need any!" At this point, I was very confused. and demanded answers. "Mermando! explain what's going on here!" Mermando began to cry.
"Merpeople eat humans ok?..we're not the wonderful creatures the world makes it out to be! our woman travel the ocean and snatch sailors from their boats by seducing them! they bring them to our kingdom... where they believe they'll become a part of our world. and are instead...
...made into food for our people." Stanley groaned. "See Ford?! I told you we shouldn't trust this guy! he was gonna eat us!" I interruppted, explaining my opinion on the matter. "Stanley, Mermando's not a Mermaid. he's a Merman. which means his reasons for taking us here must have been different."
Mermando sighed. "It is true...I brought you here because I wanted to hear from Mabel...I wanted to know she was ok..because..I miss her...I love her.." Stanley sighed. "I don't understand this though..Mabel told me you left because you love your family. but-" he then screamed. "I do love my family!...
but...you're right... everday here has been torture, because I keep thinking what could have been. if I had just stayed with Mabel, I never told my family of her...and I cannot simply leave. and not only that...I have been betrothed...this year I will be wed. to a manatee named Felicia..
and if I do not, my kingdom will enter a massive civil war...there is no escape for me now.." I sighed. "I'm so sorry Mermando..." suddenly, Stanley tapped me on the shoulder. and brought me over to a corner. "Hey bro, can you whip up a potion to turn a Merman into a Human?" I sighed. "Theoretically yes Stanley,
but did you hear nothing about his kingdom entering a civil war?..I don't feel any better than you do about a Manatee marrying a 12 year old boy. but the need of the many outway the need of the few-" Stanley interrupts me. "Yeah yeah, whatever Captain Spock... listen.. I have a plan that can help this boy escape this place,
AND leave his family behind safe and sound, no war.." Mermando walks up, hearing the last bit. "You mean it Grunkle Stan?" Stanley laughed. "Of course I do." he then whispers into my ear. "No I don't, I have no idea what to do." I sighed. "Stanley...."


I then sighed. "Alright, I'll do what I can Stanley...Mermando...what is the nearest exit?" He smiled. "Follow me!" we began to walk down a series of hallways,
eventually coming across a large door, we saw guards walking around. evidently the kingdom was made aware of our presence by the little boy. Mermando's brother I presume..
since he called for the King and Queen by 'Mommy and Daddy.' we came across a bus, that looked like a bus out of Spongebob. Mermando smiled. "This will lead to the surface,
the bus will go up the walls of the ocean floor. Stanley replied. "Alright! let's go Sixer!" I sighed. "Stanley...what about the kingdom hmm? what about your brilliant 'plan' to free his kingdom fromm a potential civil war?"
Stanley laughed nervously. "Oh right..Ford...uuhh...obviously what we hve to do is uh.... um...." I raised an eyebrow, waiting for Stanley to come up with something. he scratches back of his head, and says. "Why don't we....fake his death?"
I scream. "Aha! I knew you couldn't come up with anything-.......Wait...huh?" I pondered what Stanley just said, and realized that it actually made...a lot of sense. if we faked the boy's death, he could leave his kingdom, without the manatee
waging war on the kingdom. "But why would we pull it off?" I asked him. Stanley pats my back. "Bro, you can make potions right?..whip up a potion right?" suddenly I realized what he was saying. "Stanley you're a genius! all I need is to brew up a potion,
that would  shut off Mermando's body for a while, we wait for his funeral, then take back the body, and they'll never know he left!" Stanley laughed. "Actually I was just gonna suggest you make a potion that makes him think he's dead..but uuhh...your plan works too!"
Mermando ponders. "So my family will think I'm dead...... alright...if it is what it takes to be free from this marriage... I will do it! there's a room inside the castle, where the royal wizard makes various potions. but at this time of night, he's most likely asleep.
I have the key! we can sneak in, and you can brew a potion in there!" I nod. "Alright, lead the way." so we follow Mermando through the hallways, a few times we cross by a few guards, but thankfully the lights were off in the castle, it looked like there was a blackout.
but it was likely just due to the fact night had approached, Mermando replied. "It's right this way!" he entered another password. this one much longer than the last. he entered '7h3r0y4l0rd3r0f7h3h0lym4ck3r4l' as it opened, we saw a room where various potions for brewing,
I smiled. "Alright...time to get cracking..Mermando, come with me...Stanley, watch the door." he salutes. "Aye aye Sixer."


END OF POV

Stanley's POV
I stood guard at the door, and waited for almost half an hour, my brother and the geeky Merman prince had been in there for what felt like forever.
and nothing had happened, I was bored out of my mind. and after a while, I began to nod off. I tried my best to keep myself awake. but I couldn't.
I awoke with Ford in my face, snapping his fingers waking me up. I yawned. "That was a good sleep..." he then slapped me in the face. "I told you to stand guard!
what if someone had found us ya big idiot?" I groaned. "Yeah well-...they didn't! so it's all good...right?" Ford sighed. "I think so...now follow me! we have to get Mermando to his bed.
he's taken the potion, it'll be any minute now before he falls asleep. the kid then comes in, drunkedly slurring his words, as he flops round. "What he said, I need to lie down, I don't...
I don't feel so good...." he then falls to the ground, we both grooan. toating him off. but the guards spot us. one of them screaming. "They have the Prince!...oh...oh no..." they hold up a scanner.
"They are no life signs coming from the Prince's 17 hearts...he's...he's dead.....: they then scream. "attack the murderers!!!" the guards then begin charging at us, Ford screaming. "That wasn't part of the plan!!!!" we manage to swim off
outside. I groan. "Now the bus will never let us in..." Ford laughs. "We don't need the bus..." he then grabs out another potion, sticks a bubble blower inside. and blows a bubble that then surrounds us, we float up to the top.
I scream. "Whoo hoo!!!...we did it!" and so we float all the way back up, it goes up so far, eventually lowering down to our tempoary home here in Mexico. we walk in, as Ford pulls out a letter from our mailbox, me still carrying the kid.
I sigh. "SO what do we do with the kid?..do we keep him?" Ford laughed. "Haha, I suppose that's the best we can do Stanley..he doesn't have a home of his own..at least not anymore.. besides, it might be fun having a kid around again, right?
but first things first, we'll need to bring him back to Mabel..that's what we rescued him for?" I nod. "That and to keep him from marrying a manatee. I mean who ships their kid off to be married to a manatee?...that's messed up.." Ford then opens the mail, smiling incredibly.
freaking me out. "Hey Stan....it looks like we might be seeing Mabel and Dipper anyway...look!" he then hands me a letter, reading as an invitation to the wedding of my old Number 1 Employee, and new owner of the Mystery Shack. Soos Ramirez. Dipper and Mabel were sure to be there.
and I could tell by the look on Ford's face, he couldn't wait to tell him when he woke up.

*MEANWHILE*

We see the capital, as the guards walk in. to the King and Queen. stating. "Your highnesses...
I regret to inform you...your son is...is dead." the King turns around, as the Queen falls to her knees.
the King shouts. "No...it can't be...how?!" the guard replies, kneeling on his fin. "They were killed by two men,
...Stanley Pines...and his twin brother..." The King shouts. "Stanley Pines was in my kingdom?.....
...I see... so it seems we have no chance..we're going to find Stanley Pines." the guard replies again. "With all due respect your highness,
it will be nearly impossible to find his location-" suddenly, the Manatee 'Felicia' walks in. "Oh I don't think it'll be that hard....
they're in Gravity Falls.." the King replies. "How could you know that?" she laughs. "Let's just say...a little birdy told me..."
her eyes then glow a sharp yellow, not unlike Bill Cipher. as she puts on a hat like Mrs. Nesbit from Toy Story.
and picks up a blue cane. "Now if you'll excuse me...I have things to attend to..." and she then swims away.

But it's definitely not over! this is only the beginning,  how do the Merpeople know Grunkle Stan?
What is 'Felicia' hiding? what is Bill Cipher's remains doing in the Undersea Kingdom of Mermantis?
all will be revealed over the course of my many stories, but in this story, don't expect too many answers.
you can however expect the long overdue reunion of Mermando and Mabel, and marriage of Melody and Soos in this story. LoL
